This page explains how to ask Swiftmark Digital Solutions (“we”, “us”) to delete personal data held for the POSBooks website (posbooks.com), the POSBooks Android app, and related services. It is the data-deletion page for users of the website and the app, including Google Play.
1. Delete your account in the app
If you can still sign in to the POSBooks Android app:
- Open Settings.
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm with your password.
This request covers the account you are signed into, including the business workspace and Personal (personal-finance) records tied to that account, except records we must keep by law (see section 5).
2. Ask by email
If you cannot sign in, you use Google or X sign-in and do not have a password, or you want data deleted without using the app, email:
Use the subject line Delete My Data. Include:
- Your name;
- The email address and phone number on the account;
- Whether the request is for the business workspace, Personal finance data, or both;
- The business name, if you have one on POSBooks;
- Whether you signed in with email, Google, or X.
We may ask you to confirm that you control that email or phone before we delete anything. Do not send passwords, OTPs, or card numbers.
3. What to use each address for
- Deletion: delete_request@posbooks.com
- Privacy and grievances: dataincharge@posbooks.com
- Product support: support@posbooks.com
- General contact: contact@posbooks.com
- Account and service mail from us: info@posbooks.com
Phone: +91 9391661744. Grievance contact: Mahesh Kumar Nomula, Miryalaguda Road, Haliya, Telangana, 508377, India.
4. What we delete
After we verify the request, we delete or irreversibly anonymise, as applicable:
- Account profile (name, email, phone, login identifiers);
- Business data you stored: products, stock, sales, purchases, invoices, parties, dues, expenses, income, and files such as logos and product images;
- Personal-finance data you stored: wallets, expenses, income, and people-owe records;
- Support messages that are not needed for a legal claim;
- App and website session data tied to the account.
Staff users cannot delete the business owner’s workspace. The owner must make that request. If you are a customer or supplier of a shop that uses POSBooks, ask that shop to delete your record; we process it when the shop, or the law, requires us to.
5. What we may keep
We may retain limited data where the law requires it, including tax, GST, and accounting records, records needed for a dispute, fraud prevention, or an unpaid subscription, and secure backups until they expire on the normal backup cycle. Payment references held by Razorpay or your bank stay with that provider under its own policy. Content already sent to an AI provider (invoice or voucher images, prompts) is handled under that provider’s retention rules; we delete our copy.
6. How long it takes
We acknowledge a complete request within 7 business days and complete deletion within 30 days, unless a law requires a longer period. We email the result to the address on the account.
